Overview
Kathmandu Lumbini Tour Is one of the mostly chosen pilgrimage tour in Nepal. We will engage in Kathmandu Day Tour and visit Pashupatinath, Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square. We will take 35minutes of Kathmandu Bhairahawa flight and take 30minutes of drive to Lumbini which is the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Tour in Lumbini continues to Mayadevi Temple and Lumbini Garden. We will also observe Ashoka Pillar that was erected by Indian Emperor Ashoka in 250 BC. We will visit Puskarini Pond where Mayadevi took bath before giving birth to Buddha. There are different Monasteries built by China, Japan, Vietnam, Myanmar, Srilanka and other countries.
Lumbini is 285 km far from Kathmandu and 200 km far from Pokhara. If you take the land transportation. Bus from Kathmandu to Lumbini follows Prithvi Highway for 5hrs till we meet East-West highway at Naryanghat. Journey continues through Butwal to Bhairawa. Lumbini is located 16 km west of Bhairawa.
