Pisang Peak
Pisang Peak is the most popular Peak peaks in Annapurna region of Nepal. It is located on North of the Town of Pisang and Annapurna II. It is often climbed as a 3 day excursion from the Annapurna circuit. Trekkers with little experience in climbing can combine the Annapurna circuit trek with climbing to experience and taste of climbing on Himalayas in Nepal. The peak has rises above from Pisang village and yak meadows in a uniform slope of snow to the final summit pyramid. This peak climbing is also considered as one of the easy climbing peaks among the trekking peaks in Nepal.
The trail to Pisang Peak leads you through vastly distinct flora & fauna towards the majestic peak of Mt. Manaslu and Lamjung Himal. To reach the base camp from Pisang village, the path climbs through light wood and pasture to a Kharka, which is considered the best place for setting up the base camp. A major intersection of the path meets at Dharapani while trekking through Larkya La. The ridge of Manang valley is really rich in unique culture and landscapes. In fact, Annapurna and Damodar peaks dominate the valley. from here follows a demanding walk. The trial takes you to a place from where you can see the entire panorama of the Annapurna Range. The trail then climbs up from the Manang valley to reach the top of the Thorong Pass at 5416m. Then will get a chance to visit the famous temple of Muktinath (3802m). Then the final part of the trek takes us to Jomsom from where we will catch a flight back to Pokhara across the great Himalayas.
Pisang Peak is a great introduction to Himalayan mountain climbing. You will surely enjoy this 3 day expedition from the pretty Upper Pisang Village. At base camps the amazing mountain views will simply take your breath away.
